Jonathan Saggau started intensely programming iPhone apps before the official SDK was even released. After hacking up a networked version of the video game Pong during a weekend long iPhone event he has not looked back. He is a co-founder of Enharmonic Inc., a growing software contracting shop. When he's not working on his car, flying airplanes or playing marimba, he writes a popular document reader for iOS called gogoDocs and he works with clients such as Random House, DIY Holiday, topsOrtho, and Vertitron to develop outstanding products, services and processes. He has written on software development for Apress and IBM DeveloperWorks. He also co-wrote and teaches the new Advanced iOS class at the Big Nerd Ranch. Jonathan holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music Composition, blogs occasionally at jonathansaggau.com, and can be followed on Twitter @jonmarimba.
CocoaConf DC Presentations:
A continuing trend in iOS apps has been to bring shapes, textures, and other ornamental properties of physical objects into visual and interaction design. Join app designer Mike Pick (monkeydo.biz) and iOS developer Jonathan Saggau (enharmonichq.com) as they discuss some techniques and some common gotchas inherent in creating apps with skeuomorphic designs. They will discuss two skeuomorphic apps on which they collaborated together providing real-world design and code examples along the way.View Details
